40 Aquatic Polo Athletes were present at the 1st National Talent Plan Meeting-south zone in Lagoa

40 athletes were present, on Sunday, 2nd of december, in Lagoa, to dispute the 1st meeting South Zone of the National plan of talents-aquatic Polo, of the Portuguese Swimming Federation (FPN).

The athletes, distributed in sub-12 and sub-14 mixed ranks, represented three territorial associations: Algarve Swimming Association (analgarve), Alentejo Swimming Association (ALENTEJO) and Swimming Association of Santarém District (ANDS), in Representation of four clubs: Lagoa Academician Club, Portinado, Aminata-Évora and Viver Santarém.

 The meeting, organized by the Analgarve, with the support of the council of Lagoa, took place in the municipal pools of Lagoa between 10am and 1pm and counted with the presence of national picker of the modality, Fernando Leite. "The vision of this project is to create the foundations for the players of the future to have the necessary bases for high sports performance in the water Polo," he said at the time.

 "The mission of the project," he advanced, consists of "protocol methods to create levels of excellence, (...) Democratization of good practices (...) and sustainability of the activity in a credible way ", providing players with training" with a capable base through the systematization of the learning contents, "concluded the coach of the Portuguese Swimming Federation.
