The Algarve race was associated with the event "Hiking in Azinhal" this Sunday, November 24th, where more than 600 participants were present, on a route with 9 km and under the motto of discovering the corners of Azinhal.

The periodic realization of this initiative has sought to boost the monthly markets, on the last Sunday of each month, where there are also the products of the land, with local artisans working live in basketry, “bilros” or works, arts and crafts that represent this village of the Algarve mountain range and that resist trade and industrialization. Visitors can taste the best local products, from the famous honey, goat cheeses and to healthy fruits and vegetables, and there is always a musical animation whose honors this Sunday were made by the Folk Ranch of Azinhal.

The race is an initiative of the National March Racing Plan, Portuguese Sports Institute, National Sports Ethics Plan and the National Program "Sport For All" and the "Hiking in Azinhal" of the Municipality of Castro Marim and the Board of Parish of Azinhal, with the support of casa do Povo and Rancho Folclórico do Azinhal.
